‘Victim of his own success’: The Republican Party needs to stop relying on Trump

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer warns the Republican Party must stop relying solely on US President Donald Trump’s leadership and begin setting out what comes next for voters.

“If Trump’s a victim of anything, it’s his own success,” Mr Spicer told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“He talked about the borders, he solved the borders, he talked about improving the economy, and I think there’s a desire for the American people to say what’s next, what’s next?

“Our party need to stop relying entirely on him.”
