Former prince Andrew arrested in the UK over alleged misconduct in public office

Sky News host Paul Murray announces Thames Valley Police have arrested a man in his 60s, believed to be former prince Andrew, from Norfolk, on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“There is a statement which we have just received here at Sky News on the other side of the world, and it comes from the Thames Valley Police,” Mr Murray said.

“We have today arrested a man in his 60’s from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance.

“Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said, following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.

“Not a charge at this stage but an investigation.”
