Snow season begins in NSW and Victoria as resorts expected to open this weekend

The Australian ski season has begun with a fresh covering of snow.

Perisher recorded 30 centimetres of snowfall over the last week, while Mount Buller received 25 centimetres.

Sky News Weather meteorologists are forecasting a tough season for natural snowfall but plenty of sunshine.
