Pope Leo calls for peace in the Middle East during Lebanon trip
Pope Leo XIV has called for peace in the Middle East as he continues his first overseas trip.
He has finished a tour of Turkey, where he visited the Blue Mosque, and now has arrived in Lebanon for the second part of his trip, where he said leaders should put their differences aside and be true peace makers.
“In spite of ethnic differences … people can indeed live in peace,” Pope Leo XIV said.
