Victoria’s machete amnesty period ends

Victoria’s three-month machete amnesty period ended overnight. The weapons are now illegal to own in the state. Victoria’s Premier Jacinta Allan says penalties will apply. If people want to dispose of machetes, they will need to contact a police station prior to doing so.
