Iran determined to exercise ‘ongoing control’ over the Strait of Hormuz

University of Melbourne International Relations Professor Michael Wesley says Iran is determined to exercise ongoing control over the Strait of Hormuz.

“It’s clear that Iran is determined to exercise ongoing control over the Strait of Hormuz,” Mr Wesley told Sky News Australia.

“It looks to me as if Iran has struck a container vessel going through the Omani Route rather than its own as a way of warning ships to only use Iran’s route.”
