‘Income redistribution’: Generation X may be targeted in upcoming federal budget

IPA deputy executive director Daniel Wild discusses how the federal budget could potentially target Generation X.

“No doubt there will be some income redistribution that will take place … this is not a new phenomenon to have people mid-aged who have old parents and young kids,” Mr Wild told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Those who are sort of in their 40s are often at the peak earning potential of their life, and they’re the ones that have the money, and they’re probably the cohort the government is going to go after.”
