‘From hypothetical to reality’: Burnham savaged over plan to spread migrants

Writer and Broadcaster Esther Krakue savages Andy Burnham’s call for middle-class areas to take more migrants and asylum seekers.

“It’s gone from the realm of the hypothetical to very much the reality,” Ms Krakue told News24 host Chris Kenny.

“Andy Burnham in the most tone-deaf way possible said that middle-class areas need to start doing their fair share and taking in more migrants and asylum seekers.

“It’s kind of ironic that he’s saying this.

‘He’s not only arguing that what we see before our very own eyes is not happening and that the migrant crisis is actually being handled- can you believe it.

‘He’s also saying that middle-class areas need to take in more of these people, presumably to see their sense of security and house prices fall through the floor.
