Experts warns against premature celebrations of the US-Iran peace deal

Shadow Assistant Minister for Citizenship Dave Sharma says both sides appear closer to an agreement but cautions that nothing is certain until signatures are on the page.

“I think we need to withhold judgement until we see the details. It hasn’t been signed yet. It’s due to be signed on Friday in Switzerland,” Mr Sharma said.

“We’ve had a number of announcements over the past 60 days saying a deal is close, a deal is imminent, which did not happen. I think we need to be confident both sides are saying an agreement is being reached, but let’s wait till the deal is signed.”
