‘What could go wrong?’: AFL under fire after transgender player cleared to play in women’s comp
News24 host Rita Panahi rips into the AFL’s decision to let a transgender woman compete in a local women’s competition.
“We delved into the gender craziness afflicting the WNBA, you know, the women’s league where officials don’t know what a woman is, and it seems our own AFL is suffering from a similar affliction,” Ms Panahi said.
“This AFL committee has allowed a trans player, Freya Golding, to take the field for Westminster Old Scholars in the Adelaide Footy League women’s competition despite three separate clubs lodging formal duty-of-care complaints citing safety concerns.”
