Wegovy becomes first weight loss drug to be listed on the PBS

Former Liberal senator Hollie Hughes says “everyone is on the jab” after Wegovy was put on the PBS in Australia.

“I just got a feeling this might be a little bit like the NDIS where everyone goes and gets a diagnosis,” Ms Hughes said.

“Taxpayer dollars may be funding a lot of people being given these prescriptions for Wegovy.

“I think it’s very, very common.”
