‘We should be encouraging boys to be boys’: Relationship education program roll-out in NSW

Institute of Public Affairs Research Fellow Colleen Harkin discusses the new relationship education program, which will be rolled out in 150 public schools across New South Wales.

“We have seen loads of schools where boys have been asked to stand up and apologise for being a male,” Ms Harkin told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus.

“Traditional masculinity has been promoted as being toxic.

“We should be encouraging boys to be boys.”
