Victoria Police numbers lowest since 2019

Victorian Police numbers are the lowest since 2019 with agencies across the country struggling to boost numbers after COVID fatigue.

Victoria is currently experiencing a record high crime rate, with criminal offenses up 25 per cent over the past two years.

Opposition leader Jess Wilson says, “we simply do not have enough police officers on the beat to man our police stations”.
