US gives Ukraine and Russia June deadline to end war

The United States has given Russia and Ukraine a June deadline to reach a deal to end the war according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Mr Zelensky says the timeline was set during US-brokered talks in Abu Dhabi, which failed to produce a breakthrough as both sides held firm on key demands.

He says America is expected to ramp up pressure on Moscow and Kyiv if the deadline is not met.
