US forces board sanctioned oil tanker
The Pentagon says US forces have boarded a sanctioned oil tanker in the Indian Ocean.
They were tracking it from the Caribbean as part of efforts to crack down on illicit Venezuelan oil exports.
The vessel left Venezuela on the same day President Nicolas Maduro was captured back in January, carrying nearly two million barrels of crude and fuel oil.
US officials say the tanker tried to evade President Donald Trump’s quarantine on sanctioned ships.
