US embassy in Israel tells non-emergency staff to leave amid growing tensions with Iran

The United States government is telling non-emergency staff at its embassy in Israel to leave.

This follows a similar move by the US eight days before Operation Midnight Hammer last year.

The US has been bolstering its military presence in the Middle East, attempting to pressure Iran towards a nuclear deal.
