Typhoon Dujuan hits eastern Japan

Typhoon Dujuan has struck Japan’s Pacific coast, bringing torrential rain, strong winds, and the risk of landslides over the Kanto region.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency warns conditions could deteriorate rapidly as the storm is expected to hit the Tokyo metropolitan region.

The agency is forecasting some areas could see a month’s worth of rain in a single day.
