Two women dead in English Channel crossing as migrant boat tragedy mounts

Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth details how two women have recently died trying to cross the English Channel from France in a small boat.

“A teenager and another woman in her 20s died trying to cross the Channel,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“There’s been eight deaths so far this year … The French have been given hundreds of millions of pounds from the British government to intercept these boats and stop them from coming over before they get here.

“Brits are furious about this.”
