Trump warns of rising communist threat after socialist primary wins in New York

Fox News contributor Paul Mauro reacts to US President Donald Trump’s warning of a rising communist threat following major socialist primary wins in New York.

“The idea that communism would not only return in some form here domestically but be so attractive to young people who really don’t seem to understand the history of it is really disconcerting,” Mr Mauro told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“This distinction that’s often drawn between the Democratic socialists and communists is an artificial one. If you listen to what they’re saying, they are communists.

“I do think he [Donald Trump] is right to call attention to it … because at the end of the day, history shows it just doesn’t work.”
