Trump urged to use the ‘art of the deal’ to stay ‘ahead’ of China

Political strategist Brendan Steinhauser discusses the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump.

“I really want to see the President come in strong with Xi Jinping and talk about how America tends to lead the world in general, but when it comes to AI in particular,” Mr Steinhauser told Sky News Digital Reporter Gabriella Power.

“I’d really like to see him use the art of the deal and talk about how America will lead from a position of strength in that we’re not going to allow the Chinese to catch up with our country in terms of technology and AI specifically.

“That’s the way we stay ahead of China.”
