Trump threatens to tear down Kennedy Center if he can’t put his name on the building

US President Donald Trump has reiterated that the Kennedy Centre should bear his name.

A US court had ordered the president’s name be taken off the building, ruling that only Congress can rename the centre.

Mr Trump has warned the monument might be demolished if it does not undergo renovation.

A judge has ordered the centre to provide 30 days’ notice before making any physical changes.

Donald Trump says he can secure funds for renovation, but he should be recognised for the contribution.
