Trump says US deal with ‘failing’ Cuba will happen, no military for now

President Donald Trump says the US will strike a deal with what he called a “failing” Cuba, insisting military action will be unlikely.

Speaking on Saturday, the President predicted Washington and Havana would eventually reach an agreement, even as his administration keeps up pressure on the communist regime.

“I would say that Cuba and us will make a deal. I don’t think we’ll need the military,” Trump said.

“Cuba’s failing very badly. We want to help Cuba. We want to open Cuba up to our people.”
