Trump blasts Europe’s weak immigration policies following migrant invasion of Ceuta
US President Donald Trump has slammed Europe for the continent’s weak immigration policies following the invasion of Ceuta.
On Monday, Trump spoke to reporters in the Oval Office and was asked about his previous remarks that “illegal immigration is killing the UK”.
The reporter then asked if the president believes European nations should use their militaries to deter illegal immigration.
Trump doubled down on his remarks and once again reiterated that illegal immigration is “killing Europe”, with energy a close second.
“Look, you have to stop illegal immigration in Europe. I know Europe better than anybody, better than the people that run it. And I have great relationships here. Two things are killing Europe. Number one is immigration. Number two is energy,” Trump said.
