Thousands gather in Washington for ‘Rededicate 250’ prayer rally celebrating America

Thousands of Americans have gathered for a day-long prayer rally on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

The Sunday rally, ‘Rededicate 250’, is billed as a “rededication of our country as One Nation under God”.

Throughout the day, worship music was played as several singers performed live, with the event having a focus on Christianity.

US President Donald Trump and several members of his cabinet recorded messages for the crowd, either reading from Scripture or tying America’s past to Christianity.
