Thomas Massie launches shock impeachment effort on Pete Hegseth over Iran war

US Representative Thomas Massie has launched an effort to impeach Secretary of War Pete Hegseth over the military’s actions in Iran.

On Tuesday, Massie brought forward the impeachment effort and accused Hegseth of committing “high crimes and misdemeanours”.

The Kentucky Representative accused Hegseth of launching an illegal war on Iran without the “authorisation” of Congress.

Massie took the impeachment one step further and made it privileged, forcing a vote on the floor within two days.
