‘This is now mainstream’: Democrats’ radical shift sparks dire midterm warning

News24 contributor Kristin Tate warns increasingly radical candidates are sweeping the Democratic Party and catering to extreme views that she says have become mainstream among the party’s base.

“It really forecasts trouble for Republicans going into the midterm,” Ms Tate told News24 host Chris Kenny.

“You look at these candidates who are just sweeping on the left; they are radical, and they are catering to the most extreme views of their base, which has become the majority of their base.

“This is now considered mainstream politics on the political left.”
