They used REAL electricity in their SWORDS?

For the movie Highlander (1984), they used a very real and maybe not-so-safe practical trick to create the sparks that we see during their sword fighting. They literally hooked the swords to car batteries through cables that the actors hid in their clothes!

Do you think this was crazy? What if we told you that they did something similar around 100 years BEFORE, in 1884 🤯
