The Odyssey Proves They Only Hate Punditry From One Side

The Odyssey conversation is proving something I keep noticing. The people who claim to be so anti-punditry aren’t actually against punditry at all. They view everything in entertainment through the lens of owning the people they despise, and they hold aggressive, inflammatory positions themselves. They just think they’re the only ones allowed to voice them. I’ve said I empathize with talking more about what we enjoy and creating alternatives, but that’s not a position these folks universalize. Either all of it is okay or none of it is. And you don’t get to be the only ones in the room.
