The GTA 6 Leaker Wants Change. Gamers Won’t Do the One Thing

The GTA 6 leaks from Cyberleek come with a manifesto: three commandments about digital pre-orders, fake single-player DLC, and offline preservation. Some of the grievances are real, and I agree with several. The method is what’s corny, because it dodges the root problem. Games people call anti-consumer become the best sellers of the year, every year, and no manifesto changes that. Customers already hold the only lever that works, and it costs nothing: don’t buy. My read on the commandments, the discipline problem nobody wants to name, why pre-order behavior tells publishers everything, and what building the alternative actually looks like from somebody who runs a physical-first, DRM-free-optional publishing company.
