The Flintstones: Ryan Gosling May Be Bedrock’s Best Chance
A new live-action Flintstones movie could give Bedrock another shot at the big screen, but Warner Bros. may be reviving a franchise with a much bigger challenge than casting Fred and Barney.
Ryan Gosling and producing partner Jessie Henderson are developing the project, with early reports pointing toward a story centered on a grown-up Bamm-Bamm. That could be exactly the reinvention this franchise needs. Rather than trying to recreate the 1994 movie or repeat The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, a new movie has an opportunity to build something that works even for audiences with little attachment to the original cartoon.
