In this clip from Simpcast, the girls discuss the recent American Eagle Sydney Sweeney Ad debacle. As the left is harumphing over the advertisement it is exposing a greater divide. The left on this is focused on the skin color and the wording of jeans, but only offering up a dystopian desire to have ads feature people far from actual beauty standards. With Gen X and Millennials being the last generations that had wild ads that actually focused on getting hot people in the positions, people wonder if this new age and generation are more to blame. In the 90’s and 00’s we had girls like Denise Richards, Cameron Diaz, Laetitia Casta, & Claudia Schiffer… now we have dudes wearing dresses and fat people attempting to act sexy, but it is a false reality. Just make believe.
