Starmer ‘fighting for his life’ after brutal election wipeout

Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth says Prime Minister Keir Starmer is “fighting for his political life” after a major local election wipeout.

“A lot of political commentators here in the UK are saying that his days are numbered,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Interestingly enough, the Daily Mirror, which is known as a left-wing publication, says change before it’s too late.

“When a left-wing paper like the Daily Mirror is saying that, it speaks volumes.

“It’s very likely there could be a challenge for his leadership.”
