‘Stand up’: Hanson looks back on Liberal Party expulsion as One Nation gains support in polls
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson looks back on when she was kicked out of the Liberal Party in 1996 over controversial comments made about Aboriginal people.
“The federal election was only a matter of months later … although we garnered over a million votes, it didn’t translate into seats, and I lost my seat,” Ms Hanson told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“Continuous polling is showing we are gaining support from many Australians.
“Unless we stand up for our values and principles, nothing will ever change.”
