Spanish PM stands firm against Iran strikes amid US trade threats

The Spanish Prime Minister has responded to US President Donald Trump’s threat to end trade with Spain.

Pedro Sanchez reiterated his opposition to the attacks on Iran by the US and Israel, saying his government’s position is against war.

US President Donald Trump had threatened to impose a full trade embargo on Spain after it refused to allow US forces to use jointly run military bases.

However, the White House claims Spain is now cooperating.
