🎬 Director’s Statement:
While attending Cannes in 2024 I met some insanely talented filmmakers, which sparked us collaborating on “Alienation”. I shot and Directed, using the RED Helium with the Ancient Optics Petzvalux lenses for a unique, stylized look. light was natural, with a few scenes using the lantern the lead actress carried and the “egg” practical that I strapped a battery operated quasar to. I arrived on location 4 days prior to filming, which was in Wolfeboro NH, to time the light for each scene in this short. It both challenged and excited me to push myself. There’s nothing better than making magic with friends.
