Reporter in Belfast called out live on TV for lack of coverage on attempted beheading

Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to a clip from Belfast in which a reporter is challenged live on air for focusing on the public response to an attempted beheading rather than the incident itself.

“They’re finally seeing that the media is not on their side, that the media does not represent their interests,” Ms Panahi said.

“When you try to bury these issues, this is what happens: it goes too far, then you start having houses set on fire and buses set on fire.

“If you don’t actually address the real and reasonable concerns of your citizens, they react like this … you can’t be shocked by now.”
