“Can you blame her, though?” Ms Schofield told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Princess Katherine understood the reputational risk before much of the family did.

“This shows she has stronger instincts and firmer boundaries than people give her credit for.

“Andrew had become radioactive, and she clearly recognised that, and I really admire her for it.”
