‘Quite a prize’: John Brennan may be charged with perjury over collusion conspiracy

Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer hopes John Brennan is prosecuted for perjury.

A federal grand jury has subpoenaed former CIA director John Brennan, former FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, among others as part of the Justice Department’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe.

“Barack Obama … is probably not going to be prosecutable,” Mr Hammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“I do think John Brennan has a real shot to get him on a perjury charge.

“Frankly, I think John Brennan would actually be quite a prize if they could actually get him on perjury.”
