‘Problematic’: Iran claim high ‘authority’ in ‘narrow’ Strait of Hormuz

JNS News Washington Correspondent Mike Wagenheim claims Iran has a lot of authority in the Strait of Hormuz.

“This is a very narrow waterway around the Gulf region in which some 15 to 20 per cent of global oil passes through,” Mr Wagenheim told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.

“Iran can shut it down, can control it, can plant mines there; they have a lot of authority.

“We’re talking about higher oil prices; we’re talking about chaos in the global market.”
