Pole dancing studio dragged into $30,000 trans rights battle
Sky News host Rowan Dean reveals a Queensland pole dancing studio is facing a $30,000 damages claim after refusing membership to a trans woman, with the case now heading to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
“The latest battlefront in the fight for women’s only spaces … the owner of a Queensland-based pole dancing studio, Queens of Pole, is being sued for $30,000 in damages by a trans woman,” Mr Dean said.
“So a biological male who was refused membership.
“The case is now headed to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and of course mirrors what we saw with Sally Grover and her app Giggle for girls.”
