Over 900 people dead and at least 50,000 missing following Venezuelan earthquakes

More than 900 people are dead and at least 50,000 are missing after two earthquakes struck near Venezuela’s capital of Caracas.

The UN has called for a collective effort to assist in the days following the disaster, as millions of people are already in need of aid.

Rescue teams are working around the clock, scouring collapsed buildings for survivors.

The US has moved quickly to show its support by providing aid to Venezuela.
