Over ‘40 per cent’ of Australians think Jim Chalmers is doing a ‘terrible job’

News24 host James Macpherson discusses Labor’s sliding primary vote at just 27 per cent, as well as a new poll revealing Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles is largely unrecognisable while Treasurer Jim Chalmers is not.

“Newspoll found that a majority of Australians have never heard of Richard Marles,” Mr Macpherson said.

“The same can’t be said for Treasurer Jim Chalmers. He has both high name recognition and blame recognition.

“40 per cent of voters reckon the Treasurer is doing a terrible job.”
