‘Not going to change’: Joyce explains ‘political ramifications’ of changing WA’s GST deal

​One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce says there will be “political ramifications” for backstepping on Western Australia’s GST deal.

​“If you don’t comply with the deal, they just won’t vote for you,” Mr Joyce told News24.

​“Western Australia is very parochial in the fact that they see themselves as producing the income for the nation.

​”What the productivity commissioner said is entirely correct, but it’s not going to change.”
