‘Not about stopping political statements’: Greens Senator explains Digital Duty of Care laws

Greens Senator David Shoebridge claims the Digital Duty of Care reforms are about “system design” and pushing platforms to not amplify hateful messages among children.

“It wouldn’t be stopping political statements from being made even if they’re offensive,” Mr Shoebridge told News24.

“I think there needs to be a very close look at ministerial discretion.”
