The Norwegian movie Troll (2022) had a total budget of just $6.5 million, and yet the VFX work really holds up against productions that cost many times as much.

A huge part of that comes down to how the Oslo-based VFX studio Gimpville approached the troll’s look, particularly in the close-ups.
