Man arrested on suspicion of murdering Ann Widdecombe released from custody

A man who was arrested on suspicion of murdering former UK minister Ann Widdecombe has been released from custody.

Local police claim in a statement that he is no longer part of the investigation.

The 78-year-old was found dead in her home on Thursday, having sustained serious injuries.

She was an immigration and justice spokeswoman for Reform UK.
