Lefties melt down as Markwayne Mullin confirmed to lead Homeland Security

The Senate has confirmed Trump ally Markwayne Mullin as the new head of the Department of Homeland Security.

Mullin was approved in a 54–45 vote after a contentious confirmation fight in Washington.

The Oklahoma Republican will take over the agency during a tense political standoff over DHS funding and border policy.

Democrats fiercely opposed the nomination, blasting Mullin over his tough immigration stance and close ties to Trump.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul was the only Republican to vote against Mullin.
