Kathy Hochul slammed for donning hijab as September 11 terror attack anniversary nears
New York Governor Kathy Hochul is facing huge backlash for wearing a hijab during an event with Muslim leaders.
Hochul’s actions come less than two weeks before the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Last Friday, the governor donned the hijab while attending an event to address religious and community leaders at the Islamic Centre for New York.
The footage of Hochul went viral on social media, with many slamming the governor’s actions so close to the September 11 anniversary.
