James Paterson: Australia should ‘take a second look’ at B-21 stealth bomber purchase

Shadow Defence Minister James Paterson discusses his recent National Press Club address in which he urged Labor to look at the acquisition of a US B-21 stealth bomber.

“One idea to fill that gap is a B-21 stealth bomber,” Mr Paterson told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“It is similar to a nuclear-propelled submarine in that it delivers long-range stealth strike … we’ve previously considered it and thought it wasn’t appropriate for Australia, but the world has changed.

“I think we need to take a second look at this.”
