James McDonald says Autumn Glow has ‘a better performance’ still to come

Jockey James McDonald reflects on some of the standout horses he has partnered with throughout his career, including star mare Autumn Glow.

“Autumn Glow, obviously, the fanfare around her, big cult following, so when you get to race day, it’s almost a relief every time you ride those good horses,” Mr McDonald said.

“I think she’s got a better performance in her; I still reckon we are working her out, it’s a funny thing to say because she’s had 13 starts and she’s won 12 of them.”
